The first time I came across HubSpot, they were not trying to sell me anything.

They were teaching me.

Blogs that actually helped. Guides that explained things properly. Tools you could use without filling in a form. Advice that made you better at your job, even if you never bought their software.

It felt generous. And it felt different.

Most B2B companies lead with a pitch. HubSpot led with perspective. They built a reputation for being useful long before they became famous for being successful.

Over time, something interesting happened. Marketers started recommending HubSpot to each other, not because they were told to, but because it made them look good to do so. It was the safe recommendation. The smart one. The one that said you knew your stuff.

That is how trust spreads in B2B. Quietly. Peer to peer. One conversation at a time.
